Your recordings
Audio and its notes, markers, tags, photos, and recording details are kept in the app’s local library. Microphone access is used to capture audio. Location and photos can provide context for a take.
Optional private iCloud sync
When enabled, sync uploads a private copy of recordings and their associated details to your iCloud account. This can include audio, photos, notes, markers, and location. Full original recordings retained after a trim have a separate backup option.
Sharing and location
Audio exports and Take Packets can include annotations and location details. Review the Include location in exports setting before sharing. Sharing an already saved file preserves its existing contents.
Deleting a take
Deleting an iPhone take moves its local files to Recently Deleted for 30 days. Deletion affects that device’s copy; existing iCloud or Mac copies can remain.
Before release
This describes the current development project. Final permissions, privacy disclosures, and release behavior will be confirmed before the App Store launch.
