Record a take
Allow microphone access, choose your input, and check the meter before recording. Add markers during a take to find important moments later. Optional pre-roll needs an active recording buffer; it cannot capture sound from before the app opened.
Find and export a sound
Use the Library to search, play, and organize takes. Select a region or trim for export, or share a Take Packet to carry the audio and annotations together.
Use the Mac library
Open the same takes through private iCloud sync, or import Take Packets and audio files. Select a region on the waveform, save it with a name, then export it or drag it into another app as a 24-bit WAV. The saved recording is never trimmed or overwritten. The Mac app does not record.
Recover a recording
The development app keeps deleted iPhone takes in Recently Deleted for 30 days. It also offers recovery for unfinished takes. A saved trim retains its full source locally until the take is permanently deleted.
Optional iCloud sync
Use the same iCloud account on your devices and check the sync status in Settings. Uploads wait for Wi-Fi by default. Confirm a completed upload before relying on an iCloud copy.
